Hardwood Floor Cleaning
Be sure to sweep your hardwood floor often. Using a soft broom with a fine bristlehead works best.
· Never use water to clean your hardwood floor - it is a natural enemy. Be sure to get rid of any spills right away.
· Floor mats are good for keeping dirt off, at the end and beginning of the floor.
· If you want to mop, use a dry damp mophead, but not a wet one.
· Vacuum the hardwood floor once or twice a week. Again, use a soft brush, this way you won't scratch the floor.
· Avoid using shoes or high heels on a hardwood floor. They can cause dents.
· Do not drag furniture across your hardwood floor.
· Manufacturers have recommendations to treat any scratches or dents that may appear.
· Some floors may require waxing and buffing.
